Following on the success of the 2004 movie, Dodgeball, starring Ben Stiller, Dodgeball leagues have been cropping up all over the country. The Game Show Network has capitalized on this and created a show called Extreme Dodgeball. While preparing for their 2005 season, the producers put the call out for Women's Footy players to try their stuff in the Dodgeball arena.
Kelly Lovato of the Bombshells took on the challenge and tried out. Her footy and softball skills came in mighty handy and she made the cut!

The Bombshells vs Vandolls match on July 10 has been rescheduled for July 11 at Huntington Beach, CA. The game starts at 11am. Some of the Bombshells will be competing with the OC Roisin Ladies Gaelic Football match against San Diego on July 10.

Directions to the field on Sat. June 19th:
- 405 south to Beach Blvd exit and go north (left)
- turn left at Bolsa Ave
- about a block up on the left side is the Brothers of St. Patrick
- enter into the little driveway. The field is at the back.. Please drive slow as there are little old Irish men walking around or sometimes riding their bikes or lawn mowers around

Women's matches will be played June 5th at Royal High School in Simi Valley and June 19th in Huntington Beach. Both games will be at 10am. All are welcome to attend. Royal High Schools is located at 1402 Royal Ave, Simi Valley, CA 93065.

Five months ago Mini and I were kicking the footy at Balboa Park in Encino. It was there that we met Tera othewise known as T-Blu. With a cigarette in one hand and a soda can to mark her spot "T" was manning the outfield for her softball team.
