On February 8 2004, the Orange County Bombshells travelled to Phoenix Arizona to play the newly formed Arizona Lady Hawks. This was the 2nd game of the women's football in the United States and the first interclub match. We were still using the wrap up rule but as you can see, there was plenty of tackling going on.

For the first couple of years of women's footy in the US, we played a 'wrap up' rule instead of full on tackling. However, sometimes the umpires let you get away with a tackle.
