In the first match of the day, the Freedom got an early goal.  Canada came back with a behind. On the kick out, they pounced on the ball and scored their first major.

In the 4th quarter, the Freedom were trailing by one point.  Bri Thiesen's shot on goal was a bit short but marked by another Freedom player.  Her set shot missed everything.  Canada finished the scoring with 5 more behinds to win the Development game by a goal.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot

June 30, 2010 | MIT Athletic Fields | Boston, Massachusetts | by Stephanie Holt

As Melbourne sank into a slough of perfect footy weather  – cold, wet, unpredictable – we were sheltering from the smarting sunshine and exhausting humidity of a Boston heat wave, elbow-deep in boxes and bags and bubble wrap, packing away a year-long expat adventure. We wouldn’t miss it for the world.
