US Freedom vs Canada in Vancouver, BC on Aug 4, 2007. This was a warm up to the 49th parallel cup match the following day and was the first women's australian football international match.

Cazaly Stadium is huge and the grass is beautiful. The AFL Cains Women's League ran out winners by a score of 3.10.28 to 1.6.12 over the Freedom. The Freedom played much better as a team
In the first game of their Australia tour, US Freedom will take on a team comprised of players from various teams in the Sydney Womens Australian Football League.
The USAFL has set up a donation system for the US Freedom. The donation is tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds go to the expenses of the player whose name the donation is made in.
US National Team head coach Wayne Kraska and assistant coach Dan Sarbacker are proud to announce the 2009 US Freedom National Team. 24 women and 5 alternates were selected from a pool of 47 players who nominated themselves and went through tryouts in Phoenix, Milwaukee, Atlanta, and Colorado Springs.
The team will visit Sydney, Cairns and Melbourne in Australia during August 2009 in the first ever tour by an US women's team to Australia. The Freedom will be coached by Wayne Kraska, Dan Sarbacker, and Alan Mobely.
The US Freedom will be touring Australia from Aug 5 2009 to Aug 16 2009. The squad will be touring and playing matches in Sydney, Cairns, and Melbourne.
The Atlanta Womens Footy Tournament is set for the first weekend in May (2nd/3rd). This will also coincide with a Freedom Team training camp (Fri-Sun).
The tournament event will be likely to be 9 a side, with games played on two fields side by side. This will enable as many players as possible to play and allow smaller team squads to form. Larger team squads will be asked to split into two teams and be made up with extra players.
Colorado Springs 9:15pm Friday 10th October 2008 An informal meeting will be conducted on Friday night at the Nationals for players wanting more information about the 2009 tour to Australia. The current itinerary lists Sydney, Cairns & Melbourne as destination points with games and training clinics in each city.
