The visiting team, the Latinas, from the north of Milan was hosted by the Domes at the Carraro sports center.

For romantics Verona in Italy is well known as the home of Romeo and Juliet’s love story. But in 2010 there is a different love story unfolding - a love of AFL by 40 Italian women and girls, and their 3 male coaches.

Women's footy started in Italy in 2010. History was made as Italy played Ireland at the 2010 EuroCup tournament. The Italian women have taken to the sport very enthusiastically. As of December, 2010 they have 2 set clubs: AussieRules Verona and Aussie Rules Polcenigo. Aussie Rules Milan is having their first training on December 19 and there's another club starting in Belluno.
