Milwaukee Women Hold First Practice

The Milwaukee Bombers women's team kicked off their first practice in 2005 on Sunday at Kletzsch Park in Milwaukee. The women participated jointly with the men in various kicking and hand passing drills to start off the season.

Led by returning players and current UW-Milwaukee students Meredith Harper and Maggie Ciganek, the goal for the ladies in 2005 is to field an all-women's team for the National Tournament in October, held right here in Milwaukee. Joined by new recruits and fellow UW-Milwaukee students Trista, Ann Margaret, and Berry, they are well on their way.

Formed in 2004, the Lady Bombers are looking for more new recruits of all skills and sizes to join the team in their quest for the National Tournament. No experience is necessary! Rugby players, soccer players, or women that just want to come out and have some fun are perfect for the Milwaukee Bombers women's team. Women's practices will be held jointly with the Milwaukee Bombers throughout the season.
