Lady Kookaburras win third National Championship

The Atlanta Lady Kookaburras won their third successive USAFL National Championship title on Sunday defeating the Arizona Lady Hawks in Louisville Kentucky. The Lady Kookaburras came up against stiff opposition through out the pool games from the Milwaukee Lady Bombers, Arizona Lady Hawks and a combined team from Balt/Washington-Calgary, but were far too good and completed the weekend with their unbeaten run intact.

The women's division at the USAFL Nationals in Louisville again provided plenty of firsts with the visiting team from Canada and many new players from around the country playing footy for the first time. Also quite worthy of mention is that games were played with 14 aside teams on a 150x100 yard field providing plenty of opportunites for the games to flow and players to produce their best.
