I have played for the Arizona Lady Hawks for the past 5 years. However, I now live in Southern California and am trying to get girls interested in playing with me out here!
How Long?:

Get Started:
I found out about footy through a friend of mine at the gym. He invited me out to practice and informed me there was a women's team in Arizona and I was hooked from Day 1 at training!
First Game:
My first game ever was in 2007 when I played for the US Freedom against Canada, in Vancouver, B.C. It was awesome because all the girls on the team had the same skill level and the team worked really well together. I got to play with some amazing girls my first time out and I am very grateful for that experience.
Describe Game:
The game is somewhat difficult to describe to an American who has no clue, they always think rugby. In my best layman's terms, the game is a combination of many American sports including basketball (ruck), volleyball (hand passing), soccer, and the ball looks like a pregnant American football. The ball can move forward and backward on the field, similar to a soccer game. It's a great sport to play if you are looking to incorporate all the sports you grew up playing into 1 sport...
