2010 Freedom Academy

US Freedom National Team coach Wayne Kraska has announced the US Freedom Academy for 2010. The following players have announced their desire to play for the US Freedom in their match against the Canadian Northern Lights in Toronto on July 31.

The academy players will be hosting training camps/tryouts in conjunction with the tournaments in NY on May 15-16 and Denver on June 19-20. The squad that will represent the US against the Canadians will be selected after the Denver tournament.

In the second game of the Australian tour, the US Freedom will be playing in Cairns.

Cazaly Stadium is huge and the grass is beautiful.  The AFL Cains Women's League ran out winners by a score of 3.10.28 to 1.6.12 over the Freedom.  The Freedom played much better as a team

Game three is a full day of events at Kangaroo Flat Football Club in Bendigo, VIC.

1:00pm - The US Freedom will be conducting a clinic for female students of several primary and high schools in the area

3:00pm - Chyloe Kurdas of the Victorian Womens Football League will take the reigns and conduct a clinic for the Freedom squad

5:00pm - promotional game against U18 players from Bendigo to raise awareness of women's footy and help them develop a women's team.

US Freedom Donation

The USAFL has set up a donation system for the US Freedom. The donation is tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds go to the expenses of the player whose name the donation is made in.

2009 Freedom Team

US National Team head coach Wayne Kraska and assistant coach Dan Sarbacker are proud to announce the 2009 US Freedom National Team.  24 women and 5 alternates were selected from a pool of 47 players who nominated themselves and went through tryouts in Phoenix, Milwaukee, Atlanta, and Colorado Springs.

The team will visit Sydney, Cairns and Melbourne in Australia during August 2009 in the first ever tour by an US women's team to Australia.
