On a beautiful early autumn day the New York Magpies traveled to play the Boston Demons in Lexington, MA. Both sides had nine players who played every moment of two 20-minute halves. Despite the fact that each side fielded a number of inexperienced players - including a New Yorker who discovered footy just a week ago - both sides displayed impressive continuity and team play in front of the robust crowd that had turned up for the event. read more »

The Eagle Dees girls played their 2nd game of the season on Saturday taking on the Blues line up once again.
After some great training sessions after the previous encounter and a few Div 2 games under the belt, the girls came out all guns blazing. With everyone following the game plan to the letter (most importantly having fun) the Eagles Dees increased the lead in each of the 1st 3 quarters. read more »

The New York Magpies hosted the first tournament of the year at Tibbets Brook Park in Yonkers NY. Three teams descended on New York for the first hit out of the year: New York Magpies, Central Blues from Toronto, and the Reds, a mixed team comprised of players from Atlanta, Baltimore, Minnesota, Arizona, Milwaukee, and Denver. read more »
